During my time in Korea...

Of the many new and wonderful things I experienced in the Land of the Morning Calm, teaching english was at both one of the most challenging and the most fullfilling.

A teacher and his pupils

During my two and a half year tenure as an english teacher I taught students ranging from five to sixty years of age.  Each environment required a unique and careful approach especially where attitude and presentation was concerned.  These different environments instilled a sense of self awareness that I now proudly market as an asset within our service based industry.

The skills of communication

During my time in Korea, I taught lectures at University.  Developed and campaigned enhanced marketing models for schools I taught in.  Got involved in World Cup 2002 as a translator, met with Buddhist monks to discuss culture along with countless other indispensable experiences.  All of these dynamic situations helped me to grasp a great respect for the art of communication.  I believe communication skills are valuable in every facet of society today not the least of which is the need for this within our hospitality industry!

Bridging the language barriers.

With effort and alot of support I was able to gain fluency in all three factors of the Korean langauge.  The above photo was taken at a Korean wedding to an American and I acted as a translator for the family of the groom.
